Student Council

At JT Moore, we strive to hear students’ opinions. One way that we do this is by Student Council. In Student Council, we have at least one representative from each class in all four grades. The students meet monthly with the club sponsor, Andrea Hittle. One student council responsibility is to provide feedback on school events, such as dances.  This means that  we decide on a few different kinds of themes, and then take them to our homeroom class and take a vote. This doesn’t just apply to dances, either. We are currently trying to decide on how to raise enough money for the carnival, and what kinds of activities there will be.  We also have a team building game every time we meet that teaches us a lesson that sometimes relate to the IB Learner Profile. We enjoy setting examples for other students, and we have lots of fun.
