I grew up in small town of about 500 people in southern Indiana and graduated high school in 1986. I went to college at Western Kentucky University and acquired a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Earth Science and am certified to teach grades 6 - 12. In addition to having several classes of Chemistry & Physics at the college level, I am well-versed in mathematics, which allows me to effectively teach all aspects of the science discipline.
This is my 16th year of teaching at the middle school level, but only my 3rd year at Moore. I started my career in Charlotte, North Carolina, spending 3 years there and, then, 10 years at Travis Middle School in Irving, Texas, before moving back to Tennessee to finish my career and be closer to family.
I am an avid deer hunter & firearms enthusiast and enjoy the country, fishing, spending time with my family, baseball, along with coaching my son and being a part of the Moore staff. Currently, I am contemplating obtaining a master's in administration, which I hope to start in the spring.
